I’m proud to share our latest shoot for Marriott Bonvoy, capturing the one-of-a-kind Suite of Dreams experience at Old Trafford — the iconic home of Manchester United. This unique project transforms a stadium hospitality suite into a luxury bedroom, giving fans the unforgettable chance to wake up pitchside at one of football’s most legendary venues. Lighting the Scene with Studio Continuous Lights To bring out every detail in this exclusive space, we carefully lit the suite using studio continuous lights, supplementing the available natural light. This approach gave us complete control over shadows and highlights, allowing us to sculpt the room’s atmosphere and emphasize textures with precision. The continuous lighting created a consistent, soft illumination that enhanced the luxury feel without overpowering the natural ambience.
The Art of Retouching
From Raw Capture to Polished Perfection Even with carefully controlled lighting, retouching played a critical role in perfecting the images. For example, the Adidas football boot wall looked vibrant in-camera, but post-production helped eliminate subtle reflections, balance exposure, and correct perspective distortions, resulting in a flawless final image. Natural light mixing with studio illumination sometimes introduced uneven shadows and minor colour shifts. By blending bracketed exposures and performing selective dodging and burning, I enhanced the mood while preserving authenticity—no artificial or over-processed look here.
Before & After: Enhancing Texture and Mood The rich leather seating and premium fabrics needed precise colour grading and sharpening. Before retouching, textures appeared flat or inconsistent in exposure. After, these surfaces pop with life, conveying tactile luxury without looking unnatural. Reflections on framed memorabilia and player lockers were carefully removed to keep the story intact and maintain viewer focus.
Why Retouching Matters for Hospitality Photography
This Marriott Bonvoy project highlights how meticulous retouching elevates architectural and hospitality images — transforming technically perfect shots into evocative photographs that sell experiences, not just spaces. By combining strong lighting, accurate colour, and polished details, we create images that transport viewers into the moment and inspire bookings.
